Equalise audio with a multi-band EQ editor

About EQ Editor

Every recording has its own balance of bass, mids, and highs, and sometimes it's off. Maybe the low end is too boomy, the vocals sit too far back, or the whole thing feels muddy. An equalizer lets you shape that frequency balance to taste.

EQ Editor gives you a multi-band equalizer to raise or lower different frequency ranges in your audio. Upload your file, adjust the bands until it sounds right, and download the result. It runs in your browser for free, with no account and no watermark, and your audio stays private and isn't saved once you're done.

Common uses

  • Cut boomy low end or boost thin bass
  • Bring vocals forward by shaping the mid frequencies
  • Reduce muddiness in a busy recording
  • Add brightness or warmth to a track
  • Fine-tune the tonal balance of music or speech

FAQ

What do the different bands control?

Each band covers a frequency range, from lows (bass) through mids to highs (treble). Raising or lowering a band boosts or cuts that part of the sound.

Can EQ fix a poorly recorded track?

EQ can improve tonal balance and reduce some problems, but it can't recover detail that was never captured. It shapes what's already there.

Is there a risk of making it sound worse?

Extreme boosts or cuts can sound unnatural or introduce harshness. Subtle adjustments usually give the most pleasing results.

Can I use EQ Editor on mobile?

Yes — ToolHub is fully responsive and works on iPhone, Android, tablets and all modern browsers. No app install needed.
