About Resize by Percentage

You do not always know the exact pixels you want, you just know the image should be half its size or twice as big. Working out the math from the original dimensions is fiddly, especially across several photos that started at different sizes.

This tool scales any image up or down by a percentage of its original size, so 50% makes it half as large and 150% makes it bigger, no calculations needed. It is free, browser-based, and adds no watermark or signup wall. Your picture is resized on the spot and not stored, keeping the process quick and private.

  • Shrinking a photo to 50% to cut its file size
  • Scaling several images down by the same percentage

FAQ

Does percentage scaling keep proportions?

Yes. Scaling by percentage changes width and height by the same amount, so the image never looks stretched.

What does 100% mean?

100% is the original size. Below that shrinks the image, above that enlarges it.

Is enlarging by a high percentage safe?

Going over 100% stretches existing pixels, so very large increases can look soft compared with the original.

Does the format change?

No, the output keeps the same format as the image you uploaded.

Can I use Resize by Percentage on mobile?

Yes — ToolHub is fully responsive and works on iPhone, Android, tablets and all modern browsers. No app install needed.
