Ping Tool
FreePing any host or IP address to check reachability
Uses a TCP connect on :443 to measure reachability/latency (ICMP needs root).
About Ping Tool
When a host seems down, the most basic question is whether it responds at all. Ping Tool checks reachability for a host or IP, telling you whether it answers and how long the round trip takes, so you can quickly separate a dead host from a slow or misconfigured one.
Enter a hostname or IP and the tool sends a reachability check and reports the response in your browser. It is free, needs no signup, and returns results in seconds. Use it as a first step when troubleshooting connectivity, to confirm a server is up after a deploy, or to get a rough sense of latency to a host.
Common uses
- Confirm a server is reachable after a deploy or restart
- Get a quick latency read to a host when diagnosing slow connections
- Check whether an outage is the host being down versus your local network
- Verify a newly provisioned IP responds before pointing services at it

FAQ
Why does a host show as unreachable when it's actually up?
Many servers and firewalls block ping requests by design, so no response doesn't always mean the host is down.
Does it ping from my computer?
The reachability check runs from the tool's environment, so results reflect connectivity from there, which can differ from your local network path.
Can I rely on the latency number?
It's a useful rough indicator, but real-world latency from your own location and network may differ.
Can I use Ping Tool on mobile?
Yes — ToolHub is fully responsive and works on iPhone, Android, tablets and all modern browsers. No app install needed.
