Open Graph Preview

Preview how a URL looks when shared on social media

About Open Graph Preview

You ship a page, paste the link into Slack or LinkedIn, and the preview card shows a blank image or last month's title. Open Graph Preview lets you catch that before it embarrasses you publicly. Give it a URL and it reads the og:title, og:description, og:image, and og:url tags, then renders a faithful preview of how the link will unfurl when shared.

The tool fetches your page's Open Graph metadata and assembles the card preview directly in your browser — no posting to a real network required. It is free, needs no login, and returns the preview instantly. Use it to validate share cards during development instead of spamming your own social feeds with test links.

Common uses

  • Preview a blog post's share card before announcing it, so the image and headline look right
  • Debug why a link shows a broken or missing image when shared in Slack or Discord
  • Verify og:image dimensions and URLs resolve correctly after a CDN change
  • Check that dynamically generated OG tags render properly for product or profile pages

FAQ

Does this match every platform exactly?

Most platforms read standard Open Graph tags, so the preview is representative. Some networks apply their own cropping or fallback rules, so minor visual differences can occur.

Why does the image not appear?

Usually the og:image tag is missing, points to a relative path, or returns an error. Check that it's an absolute, publicly reachable URL.

Can I clear a network's cached preview with this tool?

No. This previews the current tags. To refresh a cached card, use the specific platform's debugger or sharing tool.

Can I use Open Graph Preview on mobile?

Yes — ToolHub is fully responsive and works on iPhone, Android, tablets and all modern browsers. No app install needed.
