About Image Password Protect

Some images aren't meant for just anyone to open. A photo of an ID document, a private design draft or a confidential screenshot needs more than hoping the wrong person never sees it. Encrypting the file with a password means that even if it's intercepted, forwarded or left on a shared drive, its contents stay locked until the right key is entered.

The Image Password Protect tool encrypts your image and locks it behind a password you choose, so only people with that password can unlock and view it. Pick a strong password, protect the file and share it knowing the contents are scrambled to everyone else. It works in your browser with no signup and no watermark, keeping your sensitive images free to secure and private to you.

FAQ

What happens if I forget the password?

There's no recovery option. The encryption is only as accessible as the password, so store it somewhere safe before sharing the locked file.

How does the recipient open the protected image?

They unlock it with the same password you set, using the matching decrypt step, which restores the original viewable image.

Is the protected file still a normal image?

While locked, the contents are encrypted and not directly viewable as a standard image. It must be decrypted with the password to display again.

Can I use Image Password Protect on mobile?

Yes — ToolHub is fully responsive and works on iPhone, Android, tablets and all modern browsers. No app install needed.
